These days car manufacturers have to do a lot of innovations to compete against other manufacturers. If they don't do that they will lag behind compared to other car manufacturers and there market share will decrease because nowadays consumers not only want to have a car but they also want to have an advanced car with the newest equipments. Lane assist is a system that will automatically steer the Passat CC back to its own traffic lane when the car went off its own lane without using the turn signal light. This is a great innovation because almost 40 per cent of the car accidents is caused by drivers who unexpectedly move to an other driving lane. So by inventing the line assist, Volkswagen wants to prevent accidents and they want people to feel a lot more saver in the car.

The active cruise control is a system in the car that will keep a minimum distance to the car in front of you. When the car is at its minimum distance, it will automatically slow down and it will automatically speed up when there is enough distance. The new Passat CC will also have self sealing tires. With the self sealing tires you can keep on driving while you have something drilled in your tires. Inside the tire there is a protective layer that will automatically fill up the cap so that the air can not escape. The last new technology of the Volkswagen Passat CC is the park assist. The park assist is a handy help for people that are not good at parking. With one press on the button the car will park by itself without the help of the driver.

With all these innovations, Volkswagen hopes that there sales will increase. The prices of the new Volkswagen Passat CC will start from 39.990 euro.
